New Dawn PA is an administration support agency founded by Dawn McGovern in 2010 that is dedicated to supporting finance professionals.
Dawn, along with her colleagues (each with their own specialisms), work with owner-managed financial businesses that are looking to grow in size, improve compliance and reporting efficiencies, or need office management support.
Meet the person behind the support desk
As you need to trust an outsourced colleague to look after important documentation, follow processes and liaise with clients, it’s important that you have a little insight into my world outside of the office hub. Forging a professional relationship that works for you (and me) needs to be built on a solid foundation and what better place to start than what really makes you tick?
I’m an outdoor kind of gal and when I’m not supporting my clients from my home office you can find me ascending a green peak or navigating an off-road trail with my running buddies or my partner on a mountain bike hike.

Connection is important to me and I like to get to know my clients beyond their business and professional standing.
When you connect with someone beyond the paperwork, reporting and compliance it’s easier to support a business in a holistic manner. You work because you want to live a fulfilled life with your family and friends, to enjoy the hobbies you’ve developed over the years and to strive to achieve your goals. By sharing this with me, I can develop processes to help you achieve a much better work and life balance – which is a great outcome for me too.
Applying green fingers
As well as enjoying outdoor adventures I lead a ‘green’ life. I love to pull on the weathered gardening gloves and get digging to tend to kitchen garden veggies and colourful cuttings.
By green I’m also talking about running an environmentally friendly office. Printing and paper are kept to a minimum, LED bulbs light the way and I firmly believe it’s better to ‘jumper up’ before flicking the heating switch unnecessarily. I care about recycling waste and use plant-based cleaning liquids to reduce needless chemicals being released into the environment.
My clients take corporate and environmental responsibilities seriously and it’s great to get stuck into ethical and eco-friendly working processes to support the greater good.
Always learning
Through my enjoyment of learning I regularly take industry courses that enable me to drill down into market trends and requirements giving you complete confidence that processes, reporting, compliance and project management is handled in a manner that you have come to expect.
Specialising in the financial sector means that I keep my entire focus on the task in hand. It makes projects easier to deal with as we all know that multitasking isn’t an effective way to work – plus specialist knowledge gets the job done quicker!
